Six Cougar wrestlers earned HVL All-Conference honors and six Cougars were selected as All-Conference Honorable Mention…WOW! What an amazing representation for ZM Wrestling, congratulations to all!

Section 1 team brackets have been set…#1 ZM will host #8 St. Charles & #9 Wabasha-Kellogg who will wrestle at 6pm Thursday, Feb. 15. Cougars go 4-0, Two meet milestones

After a nearly two-week break from competition following The Clash, the Cougars were back in action this weekend going undefeated in 4 duals.

We had a full house in Mazeppa for the HVL show-down vs. Goodhue on Friday night! The Cougars had a big win over the Wildcats, winning 35-15.

On Saturday the Cougs traveled west to Wabasso and went 3-0 on the day with wins over Minneota (45-15), ACGC (53-6), and Wabasso-Red Rock Central (43-16).

Two Cougars earned milestone victories as well…Congratulations to Caden Steffen on career win #150 and Spencer Defrang on career win #100!

Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association Awards

Congratulations to ZM Coaches Link Steffen and Mark Krier for being selected as the 2017 Minnesota Head Coach & Assistant Coach of the Year! Link and Mark were recognized at the MWCA/Dave Bartelma Hall of Fame Banquet on April 29th. Well deserved!!!

And, in addition to winning the Team State Championship, the ZM Cougars were also recognized as Team Champions of the 2017 MSHSL Individual State Tournament!

MN Christmas Tournament Day 2 Results

The Cougars finished 19th of 34 teams in the toughest individual tournament in MN…good job guys, the season is just getting started and our future is bright! Congratulations to Caden Steffen and Jacob Bennett on their 5th place finishes.
