Bi-State Classic Begins on Thursday, Dec 29th

Zumbrota-Mazeppa is one of 70 teams participating in the Bi-State Classic this Thursday and Friday, which showcases some of the best wrestlers from Minnesota and Wisconsin. Our wrestlers are ready to build on the success from last year (Highest finish for any Minnesota school, 7th place overall, and 3rd in the “AA” tier of teams).

New this year is the women’s only tournament, where we have our first woman’s entrant to the tournament, Kaydance Simota.

Your guide to watching the action remotely:

You need to be familiar with three different websites:

• https://bistateclassic.com (referred to below as the bistate website). This website will be used to view the streams for all 10 mats on separate streams. (Click on “Video Stream” at the top of the home page) (Please consider donating some cash to the streaming. I can attest for last years tournament, it is well worth it!).
• https://www.trackwrestling.com/tw/predefinedtournaments/VerifyPassword.jsp?tournamentId=688658132 (referred to below as the trackwrestling website). This website will be used to view the men’s brackets, results, find out what mats the wrestlers will be on, and to overall track the progress of the team.
• https://www.trackwrestling.com/tw/opentournaments/VerifyPassword.jsp?tournamentId=689610132 (referred to below as the woman’s only trackwrestling website). This is similar to the link above for the men, but this is for the woman’s only tournament.

The tournament is split up into 4 sessions. On the bistate website, you will need to go to the appropriate session to view the live streams.

• Session 1: (Thurs, Dec 29th 9am-5pm)
• Session 2: (Thurs, Dec 29th 7:15pm-10:15pm)
• Session 3: (Fri, Dec 30th 9:15am-2:30pm). In addition to the mens matches, this session is when the women’s matches will be wrestled beginning at approximately 10am. These matches will be on the same 10 mats.
• Session 4: (Fri, Dec 30th 5:30pm-8:30pm)

You can find out what mats the ZM wrestlers are going to be on by going to the appropriate trackwrestling link: (Men or Women). On the left hand side, click on Mat Assignments, then Team Schedule in the main frame, and finally choose Zumbrota-Mazeppa for the team in the drop down menu. Once a wrestler has been assigned a mat (usually will be assigned a mat 2-3 matches before they wrestle), they will be on the list. You will need the Mat number to view the correct stream on the bistateclassic website.
