The Cannon Falls dual has been rescheduled. ZM will host both Cannon Falls and Kasson Mantorville in Mazeppa on Thursday, Dec 22nd. Action will start at 4:30pm. Cannon Falls schools are closed today due to the snow and ice, so the wrestling match tonight is either canceled or postponed to a later date. We will keep you updated if the match is scheduled for a later date.

Both the Varsity and JV wrestlers took the mat in Stewartville. The Varsity grapplers beat Stewartville 64-9. Pictures from this dual can be found here.
On Saturday, the varsity traveled to Glencoe for the Don Hall Invite in Glencoe. ZM finished 3rd out of 9 teams, placing behind #1-A JCC and #12-AA Watertown-Mayer/Mayer Luth. They finished ahead of #5-A Kimball Area, New Ulm, Glencoe, LeSueur-Henderson, BOLD, and Rochester JM.

The JV team was in action on Saturday in Mazeppa vs stout competition. ZM defeated Albert Lea, Shakopee, Holmen WI, and Dover-Eyota and lost a very close dual vs Apple Valley that came down to the last match. Pictures from the JV duals can be found here.
This year we are going to stream our Home Events, beginning with the JV duals this Saturday. This will allow anyone to cheer on the Cougars from anywhere. This is a free service, but the funding has been provided by the ZM Wrestling Booster Club. Donations are much appreciated, but not required (Details on donations will be forthcoming). We can’t promise that this will be seamless from Day 1, but we can promise that we will learn as we go and improve!
The ZM Varsity and Junior Varsity are opening the season with a dual match at Stewartville on Friday night. The JV matches start at 6pm and Varsity begins at 7pm.
On Saturday, the Varsity travels to Glencoe Silver Lake High School to wrestle the Don Hall Invite with 8 other teams. #1-A Jackson County Central, #6-A Kimball, and #12-AA Watertown Mayer-Mayer Luth are the ranked teams that will be there. A great early season tournament and a good test!
The JV team will host a number of powerhouse programs visiting Mazeppa on Saturday for a JV duals tournament, including teams from Shakopee, Apple Valley, Holmen WI, Albert Lea and Dover-Eyota. Wrestling starts at 10am in the Mazeppa gym. We will be live streaming the ZM duals in Mazeppa with more information coming out soon.

Note, that this is NOT the fan store. That will be coming out in the near future. This is primarily for the wrestlers preK-12th grade. 7-12 grade will be appointed a singlet, but having an extra one for wrestling multiple days in a row or for post season is nice to have.
