The youth wrestling season officially kicks off tomorrow night! Grades PreK and K start at 5:45 PM in the old wrestling room in Mazeppa. Grades 1st through 3rd at 5:45 PM in the new wrestling room, followed by grades 4th through 6th at 6:45 PM. A reminder that their fingernails should be trimmed and to carry in the shoes they will wear during practice. Please wear shorts and t-shirts without buttons or zippers. A reminder if your child earns Wrestler of the Week to please return the belt the following week so we can recognize the next winner.
The varsity kicked off their season Thursday with a win over Triton and Saturday winning the Glencoe-Silver Lake/Lester Prairie Don Hall Invite. Michael Majerus and Jacob Bennett were both crowned champions. Full tournament results are available here.

The Cougars will open the 2018-2019 season at home in Mazeppa facing Triton with JV starting at 6 PM. Before the varsity dual, the members of the 2018 5002 Club will be introduced. The JV/V will head to Glencoe-Silver Lake on Saturday and the JH will head to Wabasha.
Current and former wrestlers ran in the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. They were Brennan Sheda, Cole Poncelet, Hayden Voxland, Jack Haglund, Tyler Soltau, Jarret Haglund, Evan Groby, Ben Murray, Jacob Bennett, Wyatt Mulder, and John Poulin.

On Monday, November 19th and Monday, November 26th from 6- 7:00 PM, ZM Youth Wrestling will be hosting free Physical Fitness Nights open to any Pre-K thru 6th grade student. The action will take place in the Mazeppa school wrestling room. Fun activities are planned to help with strength, speed, agility, and endurance. Wear a t-shirt, gym shorts, and clean tennis or wrestling shoes. There is no cost and no experience necessary. Join your friends and come make new ones!
The 2018-2019 season begins next week and the ZM Wrestling Online Store is now open. Just 4 days left to order! The store closes November 14th and clothing will be available for pick up the week of Dec 16th.

New to wrestling or looking to try it again? We are offering a free clinic on Tuesday, November 6th at 6:00 PM in the Mazeppa school wrestling room. This practice provides the opportunity to learn more about the sport without any commitment. See this flyer for more details.
Registration is Tuesday, November 6th at 7:00 PM in Mazeppa school large gym. We’ll cover practice schedule, important dates, opportunity to order singlets, and other essential information. You can get a head start and download the registration form and bring it with you on the 6th.

The 2018-2019 season begins in just over two weeks and the ZM Wrestling Online Store is now open! Orders will be taken until November 14 and clothing will be available for pick up the week of Dec 16th.
The ZM Wrestling Camp starts Monday, June 4 and runs through Thursday, June 7. It is open to any ZM student in grades K-12. The camp will be held in the Mazeppa school. Times are 5:00 – 6:00 PM for grades K thru 6 and 6:15 – 7:30 PM for grades 7 thru 12. The complete flyer is here.
We’re excited to announce our guest clinicians for the week which include Ryan Epps and Austin Goergen. Ryan is from Cannon Falls and currently wrestles for Augsburg College. Ryan’s accomplishments include:
